Overview
SmartSoft Gaming is a studio from Tbilisi, Georgia, and specializes in building instant and crash games, more than they build slots, and JetX is their flagship game. It also collected the best crash game award in 2024 at SiGMA Africa.

JetX is the original serious alternative to Aviator. It’s got a smaller room than Aviator and a sliding RTP that shifts with where you collect, peaking at 2.00x rather than down at the low end. Reassuringly, SmartSoft prints a hash for every round before the jet takes off. JetX is the first of the X line. Balloon, Cai Balao Cappadocia, Cricket X, Football X, Helicopter X, CarX and JetX3 share the same rising-multiplier idea with a different object. JetX3 flies three jets at once instead of one, each with its own crash point, so you collect from each independently. The jet is the main character, although you do see random pilots piling into the jet during the bet collecting loading screen and then parachuting out periodically as it ascends. What’s very cool is that these evacuees match the bet collects taken during the round by other players. As it ascends, you then have an idea of who’s taking their bets as they jump out, providing a kind of activity indicator and adding to the tension. However, don’t take their exit as a signal, as the explosion point was already set before this flight left.

The look
As normal in these games, the design is simple, but this JetX goes for a retro arcade aesthetic. The jet takes off from a night airfield that turns into space with pixel clouds around it and a fat moon, so a lot more themed than Aviator’s minimalism. JetX really wants to look like a charming arcade cabinet game.
How a round works
There’s a timed bar that loads the next round as bets are taken, and a large multiplier appears in the sky once the jet takes off, starting at 1x and climbing higher as the jet ascends. You’ve got to set these bets pre-flight, before the window closes and the jet takes off. It’s up to you when you collect as it flies, and this is the excitement of the game. Collect a bet before it crashes, and you lock in the win. Too late, and you lose everything.

The two bet panels
The two bet panels allow you to strategize and place different-sized bets, exiting at your chosen time, which helps you develop your own bet flexibility and tactics. You also have the ability to set auto bets and auto collects, which are useful tools and help you never miss a bet with the swift loading screen in between flights. This 5-second window can leave you rueing a large multiplier takeoff when you didn’t place your bet in time, so this auto-bet feature is useful.
After the collect
Of course, once you collect while it’s still flying, that multiplier win stake stays on the screen, rubbing your potential lost winnings in your face as the jet keeps going on without you. Cosmic space music accompanies your flight journey but ends as abruptly as the explosion, leaving you in stunned silence, either looking at your winnings or your lost stake.

The side panels
There’s a helpful sidebar on the left-hand side which shows the history of the explosions. A green ship normally shows a healthy flight above 1.5x, whereas the red ones show early combustions. The sidebar on the right shows the other live stakes and then the multipliers they took. Other tabs show a log of your bets and useful stats such as best prizes won across different time periods.
The Jackpot
There’s no free round and no extra flight to buy, however on some operator builds a progressive pot that SmartSoft simply calls the Jackpot can drop during an ordinary round at random. A small slice of network stakes feeds the pot and when it lands, it pays on top of the collect. Look into this at your casino before treating it as part of the game.

The little details
This is an effective crash game with a useful two-panel bet feature. It’s a fun arcadey ride with clever little details that make all the difference, such as:
- The jumping parachuters signifying collects and seeing yourself jump out as a highlighted yellow parachuter, or an astronaut when space is reached.
- The convenient control panel with auto bets and auto collect.
- The clear win statistics that frame the screen already.
Verdict
Boom! A very satisfying crash, 8/10
This is great fun and right to be an award winner. A third jet is added in its sequel, JetX3. Also have a look at Spaceman for a lower ceiling and if the Pragmatic lobby appeals more. For a simple but satisfying design, Aviator is always the classic pick.
Note: operator cash caps still apply. A 25,000x flight on a large stake can hit the lobby’s maximum cash before it hits the printed multiplier ceiling. Read the pay cap at your casino if you are raising the stake. See how we score in our review methodology.
